New Contributor: Meet Acujin Holistic Therapies

Readers, I'm pleased to let you know that a new weekly health and wellness feature will be coming to the Clairemont Central blog from our friends at Acujin Holistic Therapies. Today they introduce the team of professionals at Acujin.

Acujin Holistic Therapies at 3670 Clairemont Dr., Suite 10, San Diego, CA 92117 is a wellness clinic with a focus on helping our clients to heal from injuries and pain and stay healthy. Through regular acupuncture and/or massage treatments and education about your health, we help you recognize patterns that lead to dysfunction and show you how to address them.

Acupuncture has been used for centuries as preventative medicine, and to relieve acute and chronic conditions that have no natural cure in western medicine (such as asthma, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, etc.) Studies are being done now that support the good results acupuncture can deliver.

As for massage's value in your health care, experts estimate that perhaps 90% of disease is stress-related. And it can be said that nothing ages us faster, internally and externally, than high stress. One of the primary benefits of massage is to help manage stress.

In the coming weeks, we will be sharing more information about acupuncture and massage as powerful wellness tools, as well as other health tips.

For those new to Acujin,  here is a brief introduction to each of our therapists. Each is well versed in many styles of massage and healing techniques to help you relax, rejuvenate and heal from a variety of illnesses and conditions.

I am the co-owner of Acujin Holistic Therapies.   I am a licensed acupuncturist with 25+ years in the holistic health field.

I have studied and learned many forms of eastern and western therapeutic massage techniques.  I feel massage plays a role in my acupuncture treatments (along with qi gong, cupping, moxa, gua sha and herbal treatments), as a tool in helping my patients in their healing process.  I am caring and empathic with my patients' needs.  I do this work to bring my own uniqueness in the healing arts to the general community.

I am the co-owner of Acujin Holistic Therapies, working with a team of wellness practitioners in central San Diego.

I am a California licensed massage therapist, as well as a Holistic Healthcare Practitioner  (HHP) with 14 years of experience in the holistic field. I am trained in a variety of healing modalities including Swedish, Deep tissue, Myofascial Release, Acupressure and Trigger-point therapy, as well as Reiki techniques.  I am passionate about the healing arts, and the work itself is extremely rewarding.

I am a Holistic Healthcare Practitioner (HHP). I have been practicing massage since 2010, and I am very passionate about my work.

I am trained in several modalities such as Sports Massage, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Cranial Sacral, and Therapeutic Services, and I also incorporate stretching into each massage for better results.   The reason I am practicing massage is to balance the body, to reduce stress, and to heal the body mind, and spirit.

Alan
I am a California State Certified Massage Therapist and I use a variety of styles to tailor a massage to the needs and preferences of each client.  That said, my specialty is the ancient healing art of Thai massage. I love to help people heal through therapeutic massage. Clients often comment things like, “I feel so great after your massage, stretched and relaxed and the stiffness and pain is gone.”

One of my favorite experiences was traveling to Thailand in spring of 2014 where I received intensive training at the Old Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai.  I enthusiastically recommend visiting Thailand, it is awesome, you’ve got to go!

  1. This year my fibromyalgia got worse. I might be doing too much - that is, I might have fewer symptoms if I cut back on activities more - but I haven't been willing to do that yet. So I decided to try traditional acupuncture Toronto from an actual TCM practitioner.
