Morena Corridor Plan Moving Forward: Community Input Sought

The City of San Diego Planning Department is starting the process to prepare the Morena Corridor Specific Plan. The specific plan will provide policies and recommendations that address land use, mobility, and urban design to enhance the corridor.

The specific plan will include an outreach process and build upon the technical analysis and recommendations prepared and extensive public input received from the previous study – including maintaining the Clairemont Mesa Height Limit Overlay Zone.

The outreach process will use online forums and public meetings to disseminate project information, collect input, and maintain consistent communication. Throughout the process, an open conversation will be maintained to address concerns, reflect community needs and values, and build support for the specific plan.

We have created an online forum that provides opportunities for the community to maintain open communication with the City and to help develop the vision and concepts for the Morena Corridor Specific Plan by sharing thoughts and ideas. Our intent is to engage a broader audience and help maintain communication throughout the specific plan process. The vision, values and ideas that you contribute are important to the vision for the Corridor!

You can sign up for the forum and contribute your ideas by visiting here:

  1. Moving foward, meaning bulldozing it's way over the objections of the people who live there and use the Morena corridor.

The mindmixer site is a joke. NO real options other than ones set up by the folks who want to change the zoning so the statistics don't show what folks REALLY want because there's no option to say what we want. Read some of the comments there to show that NONE of the options are what we want.
