You Are Not Alone: Free Service from SDPD's RSVP Program

Just a reminder about a wonderful FREE service from the San Diego Police Department’s Retired Senior Volunteers (RSVP): You Are Not Alone (YANA).

Our volunteers make weekly visits to those that would appreciate or need to have someone check on their welfare on a regular basis. In addition, they may be able to suggest resources to meet individual needs. They also bring a caring attitude and a friendly smile!

There is no minimum age for YANA participants; younger persons may request YANA visits for a few days during post-surgical recuperation time.

If you know someone who is elderly or disabled and also lives alone, RSVP volunteers can stop by and check on them regularly. The RSVP program also does vacation checks as well.

We are always looking for volunteers to join our team as well. Ask how you can make a difference.
For information on the these services, please contact the San Diego Police Department RSVP, Northern Division at 858-552-1737
